"Venture Off" is the lead single off of Maylong's debut full length entitled "We Become". We Become, the album, will be a free download on bandcamp upon its release. It will also be available through all major streaming services. The album is expecting a late summer 2017 release. Please stream and enjoy.

We have been recording our record "We Become" since November 2016. We're excited for everyone to hear the full record. Thank you for all the support and for listening.

I make no small plans, they dont stir my soul.
the southern is calling.
when ambition grabs a hold a go -
a true token of bravery.
war is at our helm
and i am the well without water, the lamb to the slaughter.
alberta battles never took this toll;
lesser light, but never feeling alone.

and if my mind opened up itself, id lock the vault then keep you out
and if its clouded, no one can see. like georgia mornings in mineral springs.
id pour cement down my throat, giving me a heart made out of stone.
and now i venture off.

my enemies chased me sore like a bird without cause
friendly fire has new meaning.
a simple battle spoke in simple tongues.
swallow pride but always choke on love
that gets you roughed up fast, but struggling to get past
what we've started becoming.
empty fulfillment of a hollow past.
take the shot you know that time cant relapse.

now im digging myself, but finding myself dry.

envy fits so well when its tailored, but it always shrinks fast
requests like "never end" never seem to last
